  • Furthermore, read from the shady side. As a result, glare drops and accuracy improves by up to 3 ft (~1 m).
  • Then, lower the disk slowly via scope until it vanishes (no glow). After that, raise until visible, and lower slowly again—stop when it disappears.
  • Finally, hold steady. Next, remove scope/mask, store safely, pinch tape at waterline, and record depth. In this way, measurements stay precise.
