Key Features of Garmin eTrex 22x

2.2″ Sunlight-Readable Color Display

The 2.2-inch transflective TFT screen stays clearly visible even under direct sunlight — essential for outdoor use in Bangladesh’s tropical climate. At 240 x 320 pixel resolution, map details and waypoints remain sharp and easy to read.

Preloaded TopoActive Maps for Hiking & Cycling

Out of the box, the eTrex 22x comes with routable street and trail maps, so you don’t need to buy separate map cards just to start navigating.

GPS + GLONASS Dual Satellite Support

Combining GPS with GLONASS satellite systems means faster fix times and more reliable tracking, even in forested or hilly terrain where signal strength can drop.

IPX7 Waterproof & Rugged Build

Rated IPX7, the unit can survive accidental submersion in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. Paired with its rugged casing, it’s built to handle monsoon-season fieldwork without hesitation.

8GB Internal Memory + microSD Expansion

With 8GB of built-in storage and support for microSD cards, you can store extensive map data and track logs without ever running low on space.

Paperless Geocaching Support

Upload GPX files directly to the device and view cache details, terrain difficulty, and hints — a handy feature for hobbyists who enjoy geocaching on weekends.

Why Choose Garmin eTrex 22x for Survey, Hiking & Outdoor Navigation?

Unlike smartphone GPS apps that drain battery quickly and lose signal indoors or under dense tree cover, the eTrex 22x is a dedicated device built for one job — accurate outdoor positioning. Field engineers rely on it for boundary marking and land measurement, while hikers and cyclists trust it to stay on track without needing cell signal at all.

Garmin eTrex 22x vs eTrex 32x – Which One to Buy?

If you need elevation tracking and a built-in electronic compass for mountainous terrain, the 32x is worth the extra cost. For flatland survey work or general hiking, the eTrex 22x covers everything you need at a lower price. Check our Garmin eTrex 32x listing for a direct comparison.
