The Cone Penetration Test (CPT), also called the Cone Penetrometer Test, helps engineers assess soil properties and resistance. Engineers push a cone-shaped probe into the soil at a constant rate to determine soil stratigraphy, bearing capacity, and compaction characteristics. CPT is essential for civil engineering, construction projects, and foundation design to ensure safe and reliable soil assessment.

• Measures penetration of materials such as grease, rubber, asphalt, petroleum, tar, wax, and bitumen.
• Features a rack and pinion with pointer assembly for fine needle adjustment.
• Includes a slipping clutch mechanism for accurate penetration readings and easy sample resetting.
• Dial graduated from 0 to 400 in 1/10 mm subdivisions.
• Supplied with two sample containers.
• Includes head support and vertical rod, adjustable for height.
